Environmental Policy for Gen Z

On behalf of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety, we are developing four educational videos for schools and Gen Z to bring important environmental policy topics closer to them. These are based on the WERTE UMWELT platform. With insect protection, smartphones, ocean acidification and fashion, we selected topics that engage the target audience with urgent and familiar environmental issues.

The Videos

Insect Protection

What do insects need, what do they suffer from, and how can we protect them? This video explains how important insects are for all our lives.

Smartphones

The production of a smartphone involves a long supply chain. This video summarizes it briefly and clearly.

„Green” Fashion

This video shows what impact the fashion industry has on the environment and what consumers can do to protect it.

Ocean Acidification

The CO₂ content in the air and the pH value of water are closely linked. This video shows how ocean life suffers from this development.

Close to the Target Audience

The short educational videos are packed with information, presented in an easy-to-understand way through animated infographics and illustrations. Each video is accessible, with subtitles. We prepare the topics so that the problems become clear at the outset, while also showing solution approaches for everyone.

The Shared Foundation: „Werte Umwelt"

The content of the educational videos is based on 14 stories on environmental policy topics on the „Werte Umwelt” platform, which was also created for the BMUV. On the platform, the infographics are designed interactively. The illustrations offer more content that is fun to explore. Info texts give readers even more context.
